I have worked for Brands where technical knowledge of the product is vital such as the British premier footwear Brand and Royal Warrant Holder Crockett&amp;Jones. There I was the Training Manager for staff in fourteen stores worldwide responsible for their personal service levels, learning and development. I’m sure that you would agree with me that now as never before our shops have to be places where customers delight in coming. Places where they have a real uplifting experience. How do we achieve that? Product, Decor and Display are all important but nothing is more of a clincher than the role of your staff. Your salespeople have to engage with the client on a very emotional, human level to provide the most exceptional service.I heartily hold to the old adage; you don’t sell the product you sell yourself. During my time with Crockett&amp;Jones the company followed the trajectory from a relatively unknown brand with three London shops to its position today as a Royal Warrant Holder with fourteen Stores around the world. It now holds the position of being the Premier British Footwear brand with a reputation for excellence in its service and care of customers.
